I have always worked in fields that offered services to vulnerable people.  I’ve learned that psychotherapy or coaching on its own is not enough for challenges in the 21st century and that there is no modality that fits everyone. Applying both disciplines will create a robust foundation to achieve greater success.

Helping individuals to overcome challenges in their lives is like building a house. By utilising psychotherapy, we can explore your past and present, this will build a strong foundation. Coaching techniques will construct the actual building by setting strategies to achieve your goals.

Therapy is done through stages. The first stage is about assessment. I will listen to you and hear your experiences so I can understand what problems have led you to seek help. From there we will understand the roots of your challenges and see how they are affecting your life.  After establishing these we will go through different solutions and see which one works best for you.

The final goal is to set sustainable strategies that will allow you to move forward through your life with confidence, power and purpose.

To ensure that viable changes emerge within a timely framework, an average of between 6 to 8 sessions may needed.  After three sessions we will review the progress that has been made and adjust as necessary.

About me

I have years of experience working with people from various cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds who were stuck in their personal or professional lives and helped them find a way to move forward.

I also have more than 20 years managerial experience and have worked with organisations where their objectives and goals did not match today’s increasingly competitive workplace. I was able to assist them to enhance people skills and develop several organisational behavioural disciplines to hit their targets.

Despite holding a master’s degree, I went back to university once again and obtained my second post graduate degree in Integrative Coaching and Counselling.  Though I hold two postgraduate degrees,  I believe what the university of life teaches us, is equally, if not more important than theory. It is based on this background that I would like to work with you.

I have been trained in a wide range of therapeutic approaches. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Existential Therapies, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Person-centred and various others. I can use the most relevant and appropriate methods and strategies to work with you in a collaborative and timely manner.

You don’t need to worry about the theory, leave that to me, you just feel comfortable and sit back and talk!  We will work together and develop an authentic working relationship in a safe environment.
